Q1: What is the diameter of the pole, and can it be placed into a "grass/sand anchor"? like beach umbrella pole?
A1: The diameter of the pole is about 1.5". And you can try to place into a "grass/sand anchor", but we do not advise it, because it will lower the item's height. Hope this can help you. 
Q2: What size discs can be used on this?
A2: Regular regulation discs work perfectly on this target.
Q3: Are the horizontal chains already installed? I’d rather remove them.
A3: Sorry, the chains for this golf goal basket are not pre-installed. 
Q4: Does it come with discs?
A4: No, it does not include discs.
Q5: Does it come with stakes to keep the base stabilized so it won't tip over when hit by the discs?
